Reasons for Cavities in Children
Even if your child is brushing their teeth regularly, the dentist may still spot cavities in their teeth. Why do children still get cavities and what should parents do?
– Young children may struggle to master an effective brushing technique, meaning they are not cleaning in between teeth or the gum line sufficiently.
– Your dentist will recommend supervising your child’s brushing routine until they are 10-12 years of age.
– Reducing their sugary snack intake can also help prevent them developing cavities.
