Recovering from Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment involves the dentist removing infected or damaged nerve tissue. The procedure is relatively straightforward but the recovery can cause problems if proper care of the affected site is not taken.
While the wound is still fresh there are some commonsense guidelines that should be followed:
– Avoid chewing on the affected side of the mouth
– Stick to soft foods for the immediate period after treatment
– Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush gently
