Dental Crowns and Bridges: Fix your Broken Teeth

Porcelain, or porcelain fused to metal, can be used to form natural-looking crowns that protect badly broken teeth or cover unsightly, discoloured or crooked teeth.

About crowns and tooth bridges

A bridge can be made by using two crowns placed on teeth on either side of a space to “dangle” a third crown and give the effect of having a natural tooth in that space. Bridges can also be formed by attaching metal wings to the back of the teeth on one or both sides of a space, to give a similar effect.

In the photo below, the middle tooth is a porcelain crown, cemented onto a broken down tooth to protect it from the forces of chewing.
