Dental Crown Lengthening Explained

teeth, health, smile, dentist, dentalhealth, oralhealthIn some cases, the gums cover more of the teeth than they should and may have to be cut back to give a more natural-looking appearance. This dental procedure is called crown lengthening. During this straightforward operation the dentist will:

– Administer a local anaesthetic

– Remove small portions of excess gum tissue

– Reshape the gumline

Dental crown lengthening may also be required if you have “experienced trauma to your tooth” such as a break close to the gums. Full details on the process and benefits of crown lengthening can be read at https://yourdentalhealthresource.com/what-is-dental-crown-lengthening-and-when-is-it-needed/
