Children’s Fillings

We are a Mercury Free Practice so we do not use metal “Amalgam” fillings on Grown Ups or Children.

Your child will feel in control as Dr Little will always give them the option to stop the treatment at any point by raising their hand or a similar pre-arranged signal.

The child is encouraged to take responsibility for their oral health, enlisting their parents to “help” or supervise where necessary.

Fillings on Baby Teeth

We use a special white filling material called Glass Ionomer that minimizes the spread of tooth decay in baby teeth. Decay will be removed with a minimum of fuss and in a fun way, where your child will feel that this process is not so much as having a “filling” but one where the tooth is “tickled clean” and a sticky white filling is put in.

Fillings on Adult or Permanent teeth

We take the same amount of care and use the same excellent materials as we do for Adults, in carrying out your child’s fillings on their adult teeth. The fillings are colour matched to the natural teeth at the chairside.
